Gloomy Monday 5/20/13

I've been meaning to make some new posts for a while now, but my job has been getting in the way. :-(
I still haven't gotten used to balancing and prioritizing the time I have to do things. Hopefully, it will come to me in the next few weeks.

I would love to dedicate this entire day to writing, but I have errands to run and people to see. To be honest, there was probably no point in me even making an entry today. I worked all weekend, but I got off just in time Sunday to watch the eighth episode of Game of Thrones (Season 3)! I'm sad that the season will be coming to an end soon, and it's crazy that we have to wait two weeks for the next episode, but I'm also glad in a way, because it frees up my Sunday nights to do other things..or work, if I have to, and I won't feel guilty for missing GoT.

Anyway, I've made the decision that I'm going to have to cut down on some of my extracurricular activities and focus on work,my daughter, and writing for a while. I've been through a lot of changes recently and I know that I can get easily overwhelmed sometimes (I had a bad panic attack at work Friday).

So, that's all that has been going on with me lately, and I hope to find the time to make some interesting posts in the next week, about things other than myself, so stay tuned!

What's in a name?

First of all, let me say that I am ecstatic about starting this blog. I have been way behind the rest of the writing world as far as blogging goes. I have tried it in the past, but I'd rather not discuss that. It's a bit embarrassing really.

So, I'm sure all of you are wondering.."Gloomy Sundaes"..why choose this name for your blog, Zia Jacobs? Do you love ice cream so much that it makes you cry? Is this where frozen desserts come to die? These are all valid questions, and now I will attempt to answer them.
