I really wanted to make a post today, but I was having a hard time deciding what to write about. A million things pass through my head that I want to post about throughout the day, but I'm never near a computer when the inspiration hits. It can be quite frustrating. I was mulling over this issue when I received a message on my Facebook account from a friend, asking how my weekend had been.

So Far From The Sea...
Yes, this is a Game of Thrones post. It was inevitable.
Last week's episode was, in my opinion, the most exciting episode of the entire season, no, the entire three seasons, that I have seen. For the first time, I actually cried over something that happened to a character on Game of Thrones. I know that there are some fans out there who are going to hate me for what I say next. I didn't cry when Ned died, or Khal Drogo, or Renly, or even Mormont. I didn't cry for the countless admirable and innocent characters who have had horrible, unfortunate things happen to them.
But I cried for Theon Greyjoy.
First of all, I'd like to say that I am currently reading the fifth book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series, A Dance With Dragons. So far, it is my second favorite book in the series, A Storm of Swords being the first. I finished the third book shortly before the third season of the show began, and what a season it has been so far. I am anxious to see what the fifth episode holds in store tomorrow night.

What's in a name?
First of all, let me say that I am ecstatic about starting this blog. I have been way behind the rest of the writing world as far as blogging goes. I have tried it in the past, but I'd rather not discuss that. It's a bit embarrassing really.
So, I'm sure all of you are wondering.."Gloomy Sundaes"..why choose this name for your blog, Zia Jacobs? Do you love ice cream so much that it makes you cry? Is this where frozen desserts come to die? These are all valid questions, and now I will attempt to answer them.
