Gloomy Monday 5/20/13

I've been meaning to make some new posts for a while now, but my job has been getting in the way. :-(
I still haven't gotten used to balancing and prioritizing the time I have to do things. Hopefully, it will come to me in the next few weeks.

I would love to dedicate this entire day to writing, but I have errands to run and people to see. To be honest, there was probably no point in me even making an entry today. I worked all weekend, but I got off just in time Sunday to watch the eighth episode of Game of Thrones (Season 3)! I'm sad that the season will be coming to an end soon, and it's crazy that we have to wait two weeks for the next episode, but I'm also glad in a way, because it frees up my Sunday nights to do other things..or work, if I have to, and I won't feel guilty for missing GoT.

Anyway, I've made the decision that I'm going to have to cut down on some of my extracurricular activities and focus on work,my daughter, and writing for a while. I've been through a lot of changes recently and I know that I can get easily overwhelmed sometimes (I had a bad panic attack at work Friday).

So, that's all that has been going on with me lately, and I hope to find the time to make some interesting posts in the next week, about things other than myself, so stay tuned!

Gloomy Monday 5/6/2013

Time for Gloomy Monday, folks. It took me a little while to get around to it today, but I've spent most of this weekend writing, and I needed a small break. I've been working on a project for a little while now, and I had to buckle down and focus on it these past few days, because I'm still sixty pages away from my next payment, and I am utterly broke.

When I say broke, I mean broke. I had to borrow five dollars, two of which were quarters, just to have enough gas to pick my daughter up from my sister's house today. The "starving artist" stereotype isn't too far from the truth, at least in my case.

So Far From The Sea...

Yes, this is a Game of Thrones post. It was inevitable.

First of all, I'd like to say that I am currently reading the fifth book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series, A Dance With Dragons. So far, it is my second favorite book in the series, A Storm of Swords being the first. I finished the third book shortly before the third season of the show began, and what a season it has been so far. I am anxious to see what the fifth episode holds in store tomorrow night.

Last week's episode was, in my opinion, the most exciting episode of the entire season, no, the entire three seasons, that I have seen. For the first time, I actually cried over something that happened to a character on Game of Thrones. I know that there are some fans out there who are going to hate me for what I say next. I didn't cry when Ned died, or Khal Drogo, or Renly, or even Mormont. I didn't cry for the countless admirable and innocent characters who have had horrible, unfortunate things happen to them.

But I cried for Theon Greyjoy.
